In addition to having lectured New Testament Greek at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland from 2010-2013, and in addition to adjunct teaching in the area of New Testament at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary Boston, I lecture an annual Biblical Greek Online Course with the Erasmus Academy (www.erasmusacademy.com) in NYC. The course is completed in 8-weeks, via Webinar, through live, real-time meetings conducted entirely through the internet. Below is a course description from the Syllabus. The course meets this year, 2014, from May 19th – July 10th.
New Testament Greek Online
This intensive course constitutes a complete introduction to all of the essential grammar, morphology, and vocabulary of New Testament Greek. The course will work through the entirety of William D. Mounce’s, Basics of Biblical Greek. Upon completion of the course the student will possess a level of competency that will allow him/her to read and analyze the New Testament, as well as other literature of the period, with limited help from a lexicon. Hence, this course provides the student with the most important tool needed for interpreting the New Testament and the other literature of the Koine period first hand. No previous knowledge of Greek is required and the time commitment is approximately 30 hrs/week, which presumes 4 hours of outside preparation for every hour in class.
